Calling All Gamers!

As a stay-at-home-mom of young kids, I generally don't have much time for myself.  Once my kids are in bed for the night, I take some time to myself.  I may scroll through social media on my phone or find a movie to watch depending on if I'm not too tired.  One thing I really enjoy though is playing online games.   I feel that having something like online slots or Tetris really brings me joy and helps me decompress after a long day.

Scarlett enjoyed this game and it was certainly one that she will want to play again.  I'll also be helping her find other games that are age appropriate that she can play in the future.

School is Approaching!

How did this summer go by so fast? I feel like it was just June, and now September is upon us.  I don't like this at all.  

Scarlett goes back to school on August 30th.  She's going into first grade and I'm not really ready for it. She's growing up too fast and I'm not prepared for another school year just yet.  I'd love more time with Scarlett.  Unfortunately it's not possible, so I'm soaking up as much time with her as possible.  All of her new school clothes and shoes have been purchased and I know she'll be excited to wear her new outfits. I hope first grade goes well for her.  All I can hope for her is a wonderful year of friends, fun, and learning.

Jack starts preschool September 9th.  He's going two days a week from 9-12.  I have to change up his nap and lunch schedule a little bit.  He normally naps at 12, so he'll have to eat lunch when he gets home and then take a nap shortly after.  Jack sometimes wakes up early so I hope he can make it through the morning without falling asleep before I pick him up.  Plus, he's never been away from me before so I'm not sure how he'll do.  

I know he's going to be upset when I drop him off, but I hope he'll settle in quickly and easily.  I'll have 6 hours a week to myself for the first time ever since he's been born.  It's not so much time, but I will definitely take it!

Since we're visiting my parents for Jack's birthday, I wanted to do something fun and exciting for him. He is absolutely obsessed with cars and trucks, so I knew the monster truck theme sign would be fitting for him.
