Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer Review and Giveaway

Sometimes getting an accurate reading of one's temperature is hard to do. You stick the thermometer under your tongue and obviously it's uncomfortable to be there. You move the thermometer around, trying to find a more comfortable spot. Without realizing it, you're not having an accurate read. Sure, you will have a temperature displayed, but is it really the right one?

The Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer is an infrared thermometer, which reads a temperature in just two seconds, is available at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Costco, Babies R Us, Toys R Us and Sam’s Clubs nationwide. It gives parents a comforting option for taking a temperature. The Exergen TemporalScanner gauges body temperature in two seconds by capturing the naturally emitted heat from skin over the temporal artery, which runs across the forehead and is directly connected to the heart via the carotid artery.

I know what you all are thinking as you read this review. You're saying "why is she reviewing a thermometer meant for a child?" Well yes, this thermometer is targeted for children, but hey I don't want to be uncomfortable with taking my temperature if I don't have to either!

I was sent an Exergen Temporal Scanner for review purposes.

I think this is an awesome device. It's definitely great for parents who have a fussy child that can't sit still long enough to have an accuratereading. All you do is press the button on the thermometer and quickly swipe it across the forehead. The results come in instantly, in an easily read digital readout. No more waiting for the temperature to come in or guessing the temp because it's inbetween numbers. The device is easy to hold too. This will make your life so much easier. I don't get sick very much but when I do, it will be awesome to use this. I tested it out and it gave me a normal and healthy accurate reading of my temperature. Just make sure that you take off the transparent cap so the scanner can make skin contact accurately. All of my life I've used a regular non-digital thermometer so this is a great technological advancement for me!

  170. I would love to win this. My son came home sick from school today and I couldn't even take his temperature, because our thermometer is broken! It kept giving crazy readings like 90 and then 107. I'm guessing his temperature by putting my hand on his forehead. Ugh.
