Missy was kind enough to make Scarlett a dress for the summer with fabric of my choosing. I love a lot of bright colors and patterns on her and I knew the dress I wanted to create would incorporate all of that. I selected a fabric that featured multicolored flowers in a fun and cheery design. As soon as I saw the fabric, I knew it was the perfect one for us. Scarlett has never had a hand-sewn dress before and I felt very honored that she received one! I'm not talented in the slightest, but I admire anyone who has a talent like sewing or knitting. Plus, I always like to have items that are custom or personalized and cannot be bought in a store.
I didn't give Missy any measurements, but just told her that I would like a 2T dress for a toddler. The dress she sent fit perfectly and had the sweetest little cap sleeves! The length of the dress is a little long but perfect for a growing girl to grow into. There's a blue bow attached on the front that can be left on or taken off depending on your preference. Since there are so many vibrant colors in the dress, it can be paired with many different color shoes including black, blue, pink, or even white. I think that I'll mostly likely pair the dress with black sandals for the summer.
It starts to get warm in mid May here, and I can even put a jean jacket over the dress for those chilly mornings when we go out. I can't wait to see her in it soon!
