Eight O'Clock Coffee Review and Giveaway

Coffee is what helps keep us alert (and alive!) in the mornings. People can't start their day without it, and coffee companies make big bucks fueling people's morning routines.



Eight O'Clock Coffee is the brand name of the light roast of coffee introduced by the American supermarket chain A&P in 1859. In 1919, the roast was renamed and given its current trademark. According to legend, the company came up with the name by conducting a survey asking people what time of day they drank coffee most. The majority of those surveyed reported that they typically drank coffee at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., which is why company went with the name "Eight O'Clock Coffee." Today Eight O'Clock coffee is the third largest seller of whole bean coffee in the U.S. It is also claimed to be the best tasting coffee out in the market. (Taken from website.)

Many varieties of coffee are produced from this company such as regular, metabolism boost, hazelnut, french roast, decaf, bokar, which is a blend of 100% Arabica coffee beans produced in Bogota and Cartagena, Colombia (hence the pairing of the two cities) and more. I've had the pleasure of trying Eight O'Clock previously, so I knew I was in for a great cup of coffee.

I was sent two bags of coffee, whole bean and 100% Colombian.



My family loves coffee, and are huge coffee drinkers. I just recently started drinking it too. I enjoyed the 100% Colombian the best. From the moment I opened the bag, it was paradise at 8:15 AM. The coffee had an intoxicating aroma and smelled like heaven ground up. I made a pot of it and anxiously awaited my liquid caffeine to drip into my flowered mug. It had a bold flavor that is simply put, delicious. The coffee was very fresh and the flavor was very smooth. I love coffee that packs a punch, though don't get me wrong I love a simple cup of regular coffee too.

The whole bean coffee was fantastic too. The flavor was full and robust and extremely satisfying. It was smooth and fresh too. This coffee would be great to serve to guests after dinner, or just enjoying a cup by yourself too. My family enjoyed the whole bean and had several cups of it.
