The bed frame that my husband and I have was bought used from someone when we moved to New England four years ago. It was in good condition, but it was not brand new. I loved that it came as a set with two matching nightstands and a dresser. We always agreed that when we moved out of this house into our long-term single-family house, we'd buy new furniture. It didn't make sense in our mind to spend a lot on new furniture when we'd be moving it and have it potentially be damaged. Over the past year or so, the wooden boards underneath my mattress and box spring broke. My husband was able to repair them, but eventually they broke again. We knew it was time for a new bed.

My bed was delivered with no issues and was promptly set up with precision and care. One thing that I didn't realize was how high it was once it was set up. My former bed was not as high and was level to my nightstands. This bed is much higher and will take some getting used to!
I'm very happy with how the bed looks and love the beautiful solid oak and the hand-crafted detail about it. It's unlike any bed I've ever seen before. You can tell by looking at it how high-quality it is. I do need to get a bedskirt for it because I don't like how you can see the box spring. That's on my to-do list. Also, since my nightstands and dresser are espresso, I'll eventually need to get matching pieces.
