The Uncommon Dog Review

Now that Carolyn's here, I want to take her on many outings to the park, the beach, etc.  Since I live in an area where I don't need a car, I can't just put her in the backseat and go.  It's not that simple.  She has to come with me on the city bus to her adventures.  Some buses don't allow loose dogs, so I have to make sure she's contained in a special pet bag.  The Uncommon Dog is letting Carolyn's park dreams come true!

The Uncommon Dog's passion is pet supplies. They feel strongly about making sure your furry baby is well equipped with everything they need.  If you're in the market for a new dog house or crate, they have you covered.  They also sell dog doors, strollers, gates, beds, and more.  Whatever your need is, the Uncommon Dog is here to serve you.  There are more than 375+ dog beds featured on the website too.  Whichever one you choose, make sure it's Sparky or Fido approved!

I planned Carolyn's arrival for a few weeks prior.  We were to pick her up at her designated location and then take her on the train home.  I wasn't sure how Metro North would feel about me holding a dog on my lap, so I realized I would need a pet bag to put her in.  Luckily, The Uncommon Dog came to the rescue and offered me a PetEgo Black Contour Messenger Bag in a large size. The bag holds up to 20 lbs, which is perfect for her since she's about 20 lbs.

Mommy, I'm ready to go in my bag and have fun now!

One of the first things I noticed about the bag was that it was constructed very well and is durable. It has ultra thick padding, a contoured spine and shock absorbent shoulder strap that creates the ultimate comfort for you and your pet. There is a large zip up opening for your pet to go inside, and a smaller zip opening for your baby to stick their head out.

The black color of this black is very stylish and I like the side pockets that conveniently hold treats or clean-up bags. Carolyn went into the bag for the first time last night and seemed to like it.  She stuck her head out of the top and watched the surroundings and people go by.  She didn't cry or seem uncomfortable at all (although the train scared her a lot when we boarded.) I put a blanket inside the bag to make her feel more comfortable.

I carried the bag on my shoulder and her weight was not too unbearable.  Granted she is 20 lbs, it's a lot easier to have her on my shoulder than to walk her and have her be scared.  Putting her in the bag will come in handy when we go on new adventures or travel with her and make my life a lot easier!
