Skincare RX Review

Taking care of your skin and making sure that it looks its best can be difficult. Even if you wash it twice a day, apply moisturizer and do a nightly scrub, you still can't control breakouts. I wish I could afford to regularly go to the spa for facials and skin treatments but that just isn't an option. I found the next best thing though!

Skincare RX offers the home microdermabrasion kit. This company also offers a lot of fantastic skincare and cosmetic products as well.

The home microdermabrasion kit is like a trip to the spa, but in the comfort of your own home!

Achieve amazing anti-aging results at home with Personal Microderm System. It works just like a professional microdermabrasion treatment without the hassle or cost. The hand-held device uses the same aluminum oxide crystals as the ten thousand dollar machines found at your doctor's office. It smooths away dead skin cells, diminishing age spots and other signs of aging.

I was sent a home microdermabrasion system which includes 1 personal microderm, 5 exfoliating discs (2 green and 3 blue), 1 electric cord (Standard U.S. Outlet), 1 facial cap, 1 body cap, 1 reusable filter, Instructional CD and Pamphlet. (Taken from website.) I was very excited to have the opportunity to review this product.

I watched the instructional video first to get a hang of how to use the product. It looked easy enough. The PMD device was easy to install with the facial caps too. I set it all up and plugged it in. I was ready to get my skin in control! I sometimes have enlarged pores and some minor breakouts, a few acne scars, and blotchy skin. I would love something to help my skin for once and for all. The tool is also great for your body too as it has a special disc you can use for your body.

The instructions say do not hover the beauty tool in one spot because it's not good for your skin, you must constantly move it around your face. I put the tool to work on my face and I was surprised at first because of the immediate suction, I wasn't expecting it. It was slightly painful at first but I quickly got used to it. The sound is odd to hear though. The cap is rough but it has to be, right? It's sort of like an exfoliant. I moved the device all over my face and heard the suction and knew the tool was helping my skin look great! After I was done my face was only slightly red from the treatment, but nothing I couldn't handle. My skin felt very smooth too which was an added plus, (it's still smooth this morning even though I did the treatment yesterday!)

After you're done with the treatment you're supposed to apply a cell renewal or gentle skin resurfacing cream in conjunction with the microdermabrasion tool. I put on a little bit of the moisturizing product that came with the system and my face actually burned a little which made me nervous. I'm not sure if that's supposed to happen or it's something I'm doing wrong. The burning only lasted a few minutes though and faded pretty quickly. I really like the tool and I will be using it weekly as directed. I hope in a few weeks time the condition of my skin will improve and the vitality of it will be noticeable. I already see a difference after one use, so I am hopeful that the results will continue!
