Bethenny Frankel's Skinny Girl Margarita and Body By Bethenny DVD Review

I'm a fan of Bethenny Frankel's. I've watched her on The Real Housewives of New York, and now on her own show, Bethenny Getting Married. I find her sarcastic, bold, and just generally hilarious. Along with being a TV personality, she is also a celebrated natural food chef and New York Times bestselling author of Naturally Thin and The Skinnygirl Dish.

I've been wanting to try her new Skinny Girl Margarita but have been having trouble finding it, even though I am in NYC. I also have been interested in her new work out DVD as well. Well I did what I'm good at it, which is making these reviews available to you, and her drink and DVD were delivered to me tonight.

Skinny Girl Margarita:

I am not a big drinker by any means. Anyone who knows me knows I very rarely drink, and they also like to tease me about it. I wanted to try this because I liked that it was low calorie, and I happen to occasionally like a margarita.

The bottle itself is very simple and subtle, unlike Bethenny's personality! It's an opaque background with a cute little petite woman drinking a cocktail, and underneath it says SkinnyGirl Margarita. What I like about this margarita is that it comes with the alcohol already mixed in, no need to any tequila. The back of the bottle says "Everyone loves margaritas, but no one wants the guilt or calories. That's why I created the Skinnygirl Margarita. All natural, lightly sweetened with agave nectar, and made with premium Blue Agave clear tequila."

I thought this drink was very light and refreshing, it had the perfect amount of tequila in it, and was not strong at all. I could taste the nectar and it was a nice touch which complimented the tequila. Each serving is 100 calories which is perfect because it lets you have one or two drinks and be guilt free of indulging in empty calories. This is a perfect summer drink, or even a drink to unwind after work or a long week.

Body By Bethenny:

About the DVD:
Bethenny keeps her slim figure with simple, realistic exercise routines like this one. Award-winning, celebrity instructor Kristin McGee joins Bethenny for a 40-minute yoga program that stretches and strengthens the entire body. You’ll get toned abs, thighs, glutes, and arms while increasing flexibility and balance. Follow it up with a focused, 10-minute strength-training segment to sculpt lean muscles and increase your metabolism. Then finish off with the 5-minute Booty Blast to learn fun moves you can do anywhere for a tight, firm behind.

Bethenny champions a down-to-earth approach to exercise that fits your lifestyle. No matter your size, shape, or fitness level, this program will work for you. You are a true “skinnygirl” when you feel your healthiest, so trust yourself, enjoy yourself, and make Bethenny’s workout your own.

I found this DVD great. I've used a lot of workout dvd's over the recent years and months and they start off very intense. If this is your first time using the DVD you don't want to give yourself a heart attack and end up in your local hospital. You want to transition smoothly into the workouts. Bethenny is great at introducing each exercise and carefully easing you into it. I liked that each DVD workout was separate. If you choose to do the entire DVD, it's 55 minutes. That's really not terrible, but it's probably not for you if you are always on the go and want a quick workout. I did this work-out tonight and felt very good afterwards. The yoga and strength training are great calorie burners. I wouldn't combine too many SG Margaritas with this DVD or you'll cancel out the exercise results :)
