Tylenol Wants to Know How Family is Important to You #HowWeFamily #IC #Ad

I have received information from the makers of Tylenol.  The opinions stated are my own.  This is a sponsored post.

As a child, Tylenol was the go-to medication in our house for any aches or pains. Now that I'm an adult, my loyalty has continued with the brand and there's always a bottle in our bathroom cabinet.

For over 60 years, nothing has mattered more to Tylenol than the well-being of your family. To celebrate all families, the Tylenol brand created the #HowWeFamily program which believes that family is not about who you love but how.  The video is a compilation of real moments from real families that showcases joy, laughter, surprise, and unconditional love.

The video is absolutely beautiful and it's something everyone should watch.  Having important events like marriage proposals and pregnancy announcements are what make life special and wonderful.  Be prepared for the waterworks and have a box of tissues handy! You can watch the video here

My family is spread out over the country, so it's impossible for us to all be together at once. My parents did come in for Thanksgiving and my daughter's birthday party which was nice.  Now that my husband and I have a daughter, we are looking forward to starting our own holiday traditions yearly with Scarlett.

Family is so important and being with your loved ones is what life is all about.  The holidays are all about spending time with everyone you care about.

Slow Cooker Chili is Always on The Menu

Tonight I made a fabulous slow cooker chili for diner that was just out of this world.  I haven't made chili before and tried a new recipe.  My husband absolutely raved over it and had two huge bowls.  This chili is hearty, satisfying and will stick to your bones on cold winter nights.  The best part is that it's so simple to make! Throw the ingredients in the slow cooker and go on with your day while a fabulous chili cooks.

I slow cooked the chili for 7 hours and the aroma of it was so fragrant that you could smell it from outside of my home! My kitchen is right near a window by my front door, so I'm assuming it traveled out that way somehow.  It was funny to be able to smell it from the outside, but I'm sure my neighbors were jealous!

Ingredients:
2 lb lean ground beef
1 large onion chopped (1 cup)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can 28 oz diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (16 oz) chili beans in sauce, undrained
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:
1. In 12-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until beef is brown.  Drain after.

2.  In slow cooker, mix beef, onion, and remaining ingredients.

3. Cover and cook on low setting for 6-8 hours.

I added chili seasoning into the recipe.  Feel free to substitute or add anything else in.  The result is a flavorful chili that is utterly delicious.  You'll be requested to make this time and time again.

Make Your Belly Happy with Southwest Chicken Stew

With the days growing colder, it's important that you prepare something in the kitchen that is hearty and satisfying.  There's nothing like a delicious bowl of stew to really make your taste buds dance.

I recently made a new recipe for my husband and I which turned out great.  Everyone likes to try new recipes, so I'd love to share it with you.  This recipe is so easy to make and it's packed with flavor.

You'll need to use your largest stockpot for this.  The best part is you'll have leftovers that you can easily reheat for a quick lunch the next day.

I use ground chicken in most of my dishes because it's healthier.  You can really substitute any meat you want in it and I'm sure ground beef would taste great as well.

You'll need:

- 3 skinless boneless chicken breast halves
-3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
-1 cup chopped onion
-3 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
- 1/12 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
-1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) stewed tomatoes with juices
-1 can (12 to 15 ounces) corn kernels, drained
- 1 can (4 ounces) chopped mild green chiles
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Prep Steps:
Cut the chicken into 1/2 to 3/4 inch chunks and season with salt.  In a large dutch oven, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil over medium high heat.  Add the chicken and cook, stirring occasionally until browned on the outside and juicy on the inside.  This takes about 4 minutes.  Remove the chicken and set aside.

Reduce the heat to medium and heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil in the same pot.  Add the onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is tender and translucent but not browned, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the black beans, stewed, tomatoes with their juices, corn, and chiles, bring to a boil over medium high heat.  Reduce the heat to medium and cook uncovered until mixture is thickened slightly, about 10-15 minutes.

Stir in the chicken and cilantro, cook until heated through, about 5 minutes longer.  Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.

Feel free to add in anything else you desire.  I don't like a ton of spice so I left out the cayenne pepper and chiles.  This is a really great crowd pleasing meal that your family will love.  Serve it with oyster crackers or a your favorite bread roll on the side.

Happy eating!
