Sink Your Teeth Into Margaritaville

If you're planning a family vacation in the near future, why not consider Hollywood Florida? The sun and sand await you for a trip you won't soon forget.  Hollywood has a beautiful beach that offers tons of outdoor activities ensuring you'll have fun in the sun.  You'll surely work up an appetite that can only be satisfied with delicious seafood and ice cold fruity cocktails.  Go ahead and start planning your trip to Hollywood today.

Margaritaville is a beach resort and entertainment complex that is inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer and songwriter Jimmy Buffett.  The complex is located steps from Hollywood Beach, making it an ideal vacation destination for all.  Inside you'll find signature restaurants, a pool, spa, shops, and gorgeous hotel rooms to rest your head at night. Relax by the pool with a delicious cocktail and then later on head to the St. Somewhere spa for some de-stressing.  There's certainly something for everyone at Margaritaville, and it'll be a trip you'll remember always.

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting the Margaritaville restaurant, which is one of their signature restaurants.  The restaurant invites guests to take a bite out of paradise and to relax and enjoy themselves.  With coastal-inspired, made-to-order dishes and hand-crafted cocktails, there is no better spot to delight your belly.

We sat outside and were met by a gorgeous view of the pool and the beach.  The entire resort has such a laid-back beachy vibe that screams vacation.  I ordered a delicious cocktail that had coconut liquor in it along with blueberry and fruit purees.  I'm not a huge drinker, but it was absolutely fabulous.  It definitely went with the vacation vibe.  My husband enjoyed his watermelon margarita.

As you can see, there are options for everyone's taste and preferences.  If you're a seafood lover, this is the place for you since there's many seafood picks on the menu.

We ordered the Drunken Shrimp Skillet to start while we enjoyed our cocktails and time away from our 19 month old daughter! This was an interesting appetizer, and not something I would normally order.  It came with onions, peppers and shrimp in a special tequila lime butter sauce.  Bread was provided for dipping.  The juicy shrimp was perfectly cooked and paired well with the onions and peppers. The thick and chewy bread was ideal for soaking up that fabulous butter sauce.

We both opted for taco's for dinner to delight our bellies.  I had the fish tacos while my husband chose the carne asada.  The portions were large and certainly very filling.  My tacos had a nice grilled flavor and the sliced avocado inside the tacos was a welcomed addition.  I'm a big fish lover and loved how flaky and tender the fish was.  The entrees came with black beans and rice which is a classic duo together.  My husband said his steak was cooked perfectly and had a nice seasoned flavor that he loved.  We really enjoyed our meals and tried to save as much room as we could for dessert!

While we enjoyed our dinner, you could hear the band playing on the Hollywood Beach boardwalk stage.  It was nice to have live music while you enjoyed the ambiance of the resort and beach.  Our waiter was very attentive and made sure everything was to our liking.

I can never say no to dessert.  I tend to enjoy desserts on days that end in Y and today was no different.  The chocolate hurricane was the most decadent and luxurious dessert that I've ever seen at a restaurant.  This massive beauty consisted of vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream, bananas, rich and fudgy brownies, shortbread cookies, kitkat's, heath bars, and more.  If you're a chocolate lover, this is something you shouldn't pass up by any means.  The chocolate hurricane is made for sharing, but if you don't want to share I completely understand, I wouldn't either.

Can you imagine anything more fabulous than the chocolate hurricane?  I felt like I died and went to heaven when this was brought to the table.  The unique thing about this dessert is that it's on a lazy susan and comes with a chocolate and caramel sauce.  One person spins the plate while the other pours the sauces over the dessert.  You don't know where the sauces are landing, but you can guarantee it'll be delicious! I loved the brownies paired together with the crunchy heath bar pieces and the ice cream.  It surely made my taste buds smile.  The portion was beyond gigantic and we both couldn't eat too much, but it was such an experience! Remember, you're on vacation and calories don't count!

This was definitely a great night that we surely won't forget.  Once you're done with dinner, walk around the hotel and explore everything it has to offer.  We made our way to the boardwalk and enjoyed live music that was playing on the boardwalk.

Spend a few days at Margaritaville and you'll be back time and time again.
