Gourmet Gift Baskets Review

I do believe that cake runs through my veins, instead of blood.  On any given day if you were to draw blood from my arm, you would find a small sample of chocolate or red velvet cake. Forget blood, I function on sugar.  I don't discriminate against my cakes, I truly love them all.  Chocolate, angelfood or even strawberry cake makes my stomach very happy.  Everything is fine as long as you don't come near my cake, and remember that I don't share.

Gourmet Gift Baskets is the mecca of presents for any type of occasion or recipient.  Since Easter is coming up, don't forget to give your grandchildren or nieces and nephews an Easter basket that they'll be sure to remember.  How about care packages, unique gifts, baked items, fruit and healthy baskets, gourmet foods, and of course gift towers.  The gift baskets and gift towers are filled with delicious treats such as flavored popcorn, candy, and cookies.  These yummies are guaranteed to satisfy your tummy and taste buds.  A gift basket would be the perfect corporate gift to thank a client, not to mention they make ideal presents for a new baby, holiday, housewarming, birthday, thank you, and much more.  Go ahead and order one for a friend or family member today, or maybe even yourself!

Since Easter is approaching, I was sent two cakes for review.  With cake, I always have my fork ready to dig in and treat myself to my favorite sweet treat.  I received an Easter Egg Speciality 6" Cake, and an Easter Chick Speciality 6" cake.

Both cake were the same flavor, vanilla with yellow frosting.  They were beautifully decorated with sprinkles and represented Easter well.

As pretty as the cakes were, I didn't like the way they tasted at all.  I felt that the dry and ordinary vanilla cake was topped with an excessive amount of hardened yellow frosting.  Honestly, I tried to like this cake.  I wanted to like it, I just couldn't.  I felt bad too, who doesn't like cake? I think if the cake was more moist and spongy, and the frosting less thick and sweet it would have been more enjoyable.

I always appreciate any opportunity to try and review a product that I haven't been introduced to before.  I do believe that other people would enjoy the cakes, they just wasn't for me.

*DISCLOSURE* Thank you to Gourmet Gift Baskets for the complimentary cakes in exchange for this review.  All thoughts are my own.
