Motorola Review

I've had Carolyn almost two months now.  She's been such a joy, but let's face it I don't love everything she does.  I catch her now and then getting into things she shouldn't.  Carolyn's curious and is still learning boundaries and what's off limits and what's ok.  I can't watch her every move, especially when I'm at work or blogging.  Wouldn't it be nice if I had a camera to prevent Carolyn from doing things I don't approve of?

Motorola is the provider of analog and digital two-way voice and data radio products and systems for conventional, shared, and private applications worldwide.  You might know Motorola for their cell phones, walkie talkies, and tablets.  The brand has been around since 1928 and the name is recognized worldwide.  Just go to the electronics section of your local store and you'll see all of the Motorola products available.  Motorola's products are quality made and built to last.

When I'm home on the computer 99% of the time I'm blogging or doing work for the blog.  I can't watch Carolyn's every move.  Before I start working I always make sure she's been taken out and played with.  This way I can guarantee she won't be needy and looking for attention.  When I'm working, she is usually in the same room as me, or she's in my room where her toy box is.  My room is on the opposite end of my apartment and not easy to see from my computer desk.

I've been thinking of investing in a camera where I can see her and correct her bad behavior.  It would make my life a lot easier.  Recently she has chewed two TV remotes!

Motorola offered me the opportunity to review a remote wireless video baby monitor.  The unit comes with a camera to put in the room and a wireless hand held color unit to watch from.  I accepted instantly, it's like they read my mind!

Carolyn, I'm watching you. Drop that shoe and put your paws up where I can see them!

Even though this is a true baby monitor, I am using it in a non traditional way.  I don't have children, and Carolyn is my child right now.  The monitor was very easy to set up and in no time I had it installed in my bedroom and was watching my pup in action.  The unit has a range of 590 ft and a 2.8" diagonal color screen.  You can pan, tilt, and zoom the camera in any particular area needed.  The high sensitivity microphone allows you to speak into it and Carolyn will hear it.  The unit is small and doesn't take up much space on a dresser or night table.

I was watching Carolyn from the hand held monitor yesterday.  I viewed her jumping up against my TV stand and attempting to take the remote from its place.  She almost had the remote in her mouth and was ready to make it her midday snack when I said NO firmly into the unit.  She heard me loud and clear and jumped down and left the remote there.  She has a love affair with remotes it seems.  I was impressed that she heard me and listened, and was relieved to have saved the remote from further chewing.  The monitor's screen is crisp and clear and the colors are bright.  I could hear the TV playing perfectly through the monitor too.  I like being able to zoom and tilt to watch her from whatever part of my room she's in.

The video camera will certainly come in handy to save anything from being chewed by Carolyn in the future.  When I have children one day, I will be happy to have a quality unit to watch them from their cribs.

If you're looking for a baby monitor that will help you assure your kids are safe and secure in their cribs, Motorola is the brand for you.

*DISCLOSURE* Thank you to Motorola for providing me with this complimentary unit in exchange for this review.  All thoughts and opinions are strictly mine.
