Community Coffee Review

I'm keeping up the delicious baked goods blog reviews by adding another one! What better to go with coffee or tea than a delicious piece of cake, right?

Community Coffee Company invites you to enjoy the unique taste of Louisiana's most distinctive coffee. We start with only quality, 100% Arabica beans selected by the Saurage family. Then, through generations of roasting experience, we have perfected a full-bodied yet smooth flavor that reflects the extraordinary culinary traditions of Louisiana. Today, Community® coffee is served in the best New Orleans restaurants and is shared in homes across the South. To understand why, simply sit back and enjoy a cup.

CCC offers tea, gourmet coffee, traditional coffee, and gifts for that coffee or tea lover. I guarantee you will find a flavor of coffee or tea that will soon become your favorite. A giftset from this company would make an excellent present for that special someone for Valentine's Day.

I was sent the delectable Cajun Praline King Cake. Don't you wish you could have a piece right now?

Information about the cake:
Enjoy this delicious King Cake from Marguerite's Cakes filled with cream cheese and toasted pecans, and smothered in sweet creamy caramel and pecan praline icing. Each cake includes a tiny plastic baby that can be inserted in the cake before serving. Tradition has it that the person who receives the baby in his/her piece of cake must buy the next king cake or host the next party. Shipment includes Mardi Gras plastic cup, beads, history of king cake, Community® 12oz Cafe Special® coffee and magnet. Serves approximately 12 people.

This cake was beyond fabulous and smelled so good! I don't usually eat desserts that are not chocolate, but this looked too good to pass up. First of all, this cake was gigantic and served 12 people. I had some friends over on Monday and they took some leftovers home with them as we had a lot of the cake left.

I loved the braided look of the cake, it gave it a denseness that was really nice. The sweet praline and caramel frosting were out of this world. Upon first bite, the flavors of the icing were both very full and rich and simply perfect. The toasted pecans added a satisfying crunch to the cake. The cream cheese filling was delicious. The filling wasn't too sweet, but had just the right amount of sweetness to it.

All of the flavors togethered meshed together perfectly and was seriously one of the best pieces of cake I've ever had in my life. The flavors balanced each other out and you could taste each part of the cake individually, but still appreciate all of the flavors together. It was beyond delicious and all of my friends really enjoyed it. This cake was perfect for serving over warm conversation with friends, and the cake was definitely comfort food.

I served the coffee that came with the cake and it was fantastic. It went so perfectly well with the sweet treat. The flavor of the coffee was rich and bold and hearty. I could understand why it was a best seller on the company's website.

Served in the finest restaurants in New Orleans, this special blend is roasted medium-dark to a rich brown color, yielding a full-bodied cup of coffee with a distinctive café taste and aroma. [12 oz. easy open, re-sealable bag]
