Downtown Cookie Company Review

There's nothing I love more than chocolate. I would eat chocolate 50 times a day if the evidence didn't later show up on the scale. I can't get enough of chocolate though!

Downtown Cookie Company, a local NYC bakery was established in 2008 by Dan Guerrera. Guerrera tried to replicate the cookies his mother made when he was a child, and couldn't find anything similiar anywhere. He started experimenting in the kitchen and finally found the recipe that tasted right to him. His cookies are baked from scratch without any preservatives or additives. They contain nuts, gluten and dairy because he uses butter, sugar, flour, peanut butter, chocolate and other natural ingredients."

Downtown Cookie company has 7 mouth-watering flavors consisting of:
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip
Oatmeal Raisin
Ginger
Peanut Butter
Chocolate Chip
Chocolate Chocolate Chip
Jane Street Jam

I requested Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, and Peanut Butter for review. They showed up at my door about 45 minutes ago. When I opened the door and saw the messenger holding my scrumptious bag of cookies, I wanted to grab the bag from him, slam the door in his face, and eat all of the cookies at once. I kept calm though because obviously I have more tact than that :)

I had a bite of each cookie. The cookies are melt in your mouth delicious. They are dense and thick, but also soft and fluffy, just like how a cookie should be. They are packed full of flavor and you can really taste the distinct flavor of the oatmeal, the chocolate, the raisins, and the peanut butter in each cookie. My favorite had to be the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. Oatmeal and chocolate go together so well, they are a perfect combination. There was an equal amount of oatmeal to luscious chocolate. It's going to be hard to control myself from not eating all of these cookies :) I'll be sad when they are gone though!
