I write up sort of a "pitch" letter, pitching my blog to a company and describing why they should work with me. Not everyone answers or says yes, but some companies do and it's great! I advertise my blog (and the contests) on online-sweepstakes.com, and twitter. If you're thinking of starting a blog, good luck!
