Piggypaint Review

PiggyPaint deems themselves "Natural as mud". The nailpolish is natural, non-toxic, odorless, and kid friendly. The polishes come in an array of colors, and their company name is just too cute!
Piggypaint sent me a small bottle of a pretty purplish color. The nailpolish color is called "Girl's Rule!" which is very cute. The website description of this color is "Bright Shimmery Magenta Purple". It's a great summery color, but you could wear it on your toes all year round. It's a perfect size to keep in your purse with you for quick touch-ups, etc. The front of the bottle has the company's logo on it with a cute little pink pig with painted fingernails and their motto of "natural as mud" is displayed along with the information of the polish being safe, odorless, and non-toxic. The color went on my nails nice and smooth and dried very quickly! I've had it on for a while now and it has not chipped, despite other nail polishes instantly chipping after they have dried. I was also sent a Piggy Paint nail polish remover (which I can never have enough of!) It's a big white bottle that contains 4 oz of nail polish remover. which is a decent amount. The bottle has the same logo and information as the nail polish. It took my old nailpolish off right away with no issues. This has virtually no smell and it contains vitamin E and Aloe Vera, which is important for nail growth. I would say both of these products are great and I would recommend them to anyone!

Fancy Fortune Cookie Review & Giveaway

Do you love fortune cookies? Do you love candy? Well this product is for you! Fancy Fortune Cookies sent me a beautiful 1 lb gigantic peppermint bark fortune cookie. It arrived beautifully wrapped with a red bow and it looked too pretty to eat (but that didn't stop me!) I've never seen anything like this or this huge before! It tasted delicious and had a great distinction between the fortune cookie and the chocolate and peppermint. The flavors were great together. The website sells small fortune cookies, personalized cookies, large cookies, and so much more! They have any kind of flavor you could ever want. It's a great gift for practically any occasion and you cannot go wrong with it!

Home in Merryland!

I'm home in MD until Thursday to spend time with my family and my Colby. It's nice being home in the suburbs away from NYC for a little while. My bus ride took longer than expected due to traffic ugh. So far it has been good meals and a lot of peppermint bark!

I am baking standard white bread in the breadmaker now, I hope it turns out okay. I need a newer bread maker that won't break the bank. Any suggestions? Mine takes 2 hours and 15 min to make! Ridiculous.

How was everyone's Christmas? What are your New Years Plans?

A barcode is now the work of Satan!

My blog giveaway is up and running! I'm very excited. I hope this blog is very successful and gains a lot of following. My boyfriend went to go pick up dinner tonight at the grocery store. A woman in line with him at the check out pointed to the barcode on the back of an item and asked him if he knew what it was. He said it was a barcode, and she said NO, it is the mark of the beast! She said that it is the handiwork of Satan and how he is all around us! Jay says I'm pretty sure it's just a way for them to keep track of the items in their system, and the woman said Satan is keeping track of us, God is trying to break through but he can't! It was just plain ridiculous. Well that's what we get for shopping in a lower-end supermarket. What are you guys having for dinner tonight? We're grilling up some shrimp with cous cous! Have a great holiday! I look forward to giving you more giveaways in the future!

Kaponga.com Review & Giveaway

Kaponga.com offers organic and natural premium French perfumes. Their website states "100% Healthy Natural And Organic Ingredients. No Harsh Chemicals. No Animal Testing. Effective And Safe. We Use Only Premium French-Made Perfumes From The Fragrance Capital Of The World, Grasse."

This is my first official blog giveaway and I'm very excited. Kaponga.com has sent me 3 full sized products to review plus 3 mini cream perfume pots. The first product is a rose perfumed body moisturizer. It's a 6 fl oz size tube and the packaging is very pretty, pink with flowers on it. It retails for $12, which is a teeny bit pricey for me. The back of the bottle says "Pure and naturally dervied oils and extracts from nature combined with premium French certified organic esstential oils combat dehydrated, sore, inflamed and damaged skin. Prevents signs of aging with improved tonicity, elasticity and a desirable plumping effect. I love that this has so many great benefits all rolled into one tube! The scent was very strong and you could smell it the second you rubbed it in (I tested it on my hand). It wasn't very greasy at all and made my hand feel very smooth. The second is Lavender body perfume. I think this is my favorite one, it smelled delicious and had pretty lavender flowers on the tube. Lastly, I received a 2.5 fl oz coconut vanilla lotion. It smells great! It makes me almost want to eat it! I think the 2.5 fl oz is a great size for travel or just on the go, it retails for $7 which is not bad! I also received cream perfume in cute little wooden pots to review. They are organic which is a big plus in my book. They retail for $12 as well. The scents are organic raspberry, ylang ylang, and mimosa. I've never heard of cream perfume before, so it was interesting to try this. They are all .35 oz. The pots have a unscrew-able lid and they all smell very good. The perfume was very easy to apply even though it was cream, and again non greasy. Each of the pots have a picture of their according flavors. I enjoyed reviewing these products and they think are absolutely great!

Yay 4 communication!

As you all know I have been working on my blog. I have been emailing companies in hopes of doing reviews/giveaways on my blogs. I emailed Kaponga.com (a skin care company) and asked them if they would be interested in working with me.

Here is their answer:

Hi Sammi.

Thank you,
Mary Johnston

Snowed In

It snowed all day and all night yesterday. Here's a picture. I tried to make a snowman today but the snow was just too powdery. I am done with school on Tuesday! It's really late, which is annoying but it will be nice to have a break until Feb. 1. I start my internship on Wednesday. I am working for Creative Media Marketing, a company specializing in PR with beauty products. I am excited! I hope I get to keep some of the products.

I am almost done with my senior thesis. I wrote about infomercials and if you have any questions about infomercials I pretty much know anything about them! ugh!

Christmas

I love Christmas in New York! The crowds, the tourists, the ooh's and aah's of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, the ice skating at Bryant Park, the moving snowflakes on the Sak's building. What is your favorite part of Christmas? I love hot chocolate and the sense of togetherness and unity.
